Community discovery, powered by top.gg

Starting today, community discovery is live on Osmium. You can now list your communities publicly, get found by new people, and browse what spaces are out there that you could become a part of. We hope this will help new users and community owners alike get established and feel at home.

Osmium is a growing platform, and that’s why we’re partnering with top.gg - home to one of the largest established community, bot, and game discovery ecosystems. Through this partnership, discoverable communities will reach audiences beyond the Osmium app and appear on top.gg itself, in front of an entirely new audience, and within the reach of search engines and the internet at large.

Future Plans

Please note that this feature is in beta - we would love to hear your feedback and hear about any issues you might have. Let us know what you think in the main Osmium community, in the feedback and bug reporting channels by clicking the “Submit Feedback” button in the bottom left corner in the app.

For now, discoverable Osmium communities can only be viewed inside the Osmium app. In the future, you will also be able to search for communities on the top.gg website under their own section.

Data Privacy

We continue to uphold our comittment to never sharing user information with third parties. Top.gg will receive the information necessary to power community discovery, such as the community name, profile picture and member count. This is information that is already publicly available under the community’s invite. Top.gg does not receive any data related to user accounts, such as usernames, user ids, or server ownership. Top.gg has additionally comitted to not share the community listing data with third parties, and to protect it against bots and scraping.
